Várda-Baromfihús Kft. (Ltd) was founded in 1997 and it has established a poultry processing plant in Rétközberencs village as a greenfield investment later that year. The newly constructed slaughtering and processing plant began to operate on 15th January 1998.

Already in the first year, the first poultry farm for 65,000 birds was created in Pátroha village to ensure the proper supply of raw materials. But it was just the beginning, we did not stop here. In the coming years, further poultry farms were established.
In 2007, the group of companies opened a fodder mixing plant, which is intended to provide the fodder needed for the keeping of the animals for slaughter on the company’s raising farms. The highest percentage of the raw materials required for the production of animal feed is obtained from the Hungarian market, from Hungarian producers.
The production of hatching eggs has started on our parent stock farms in 2012, and, at the same time, the developing of a hatchery suitable for the hatching of the eggs began, which started to operate in 2013. In addition to broiler chicken raising, our company is engaged in turkey and pig rearing.

From a 100% Hungarian-owned small enterprise, the company has become a complex and diverse group of companies, where the production of eggs, the rearing and processing of broiler chicken, and the sales are managed by one person to create closed integration.
